The path to membership
From Aspirant to Knight or Dame
A prospective member must have two current members of the Sovereign Order, who are in good standing, and willing to be a sponsor.
At that point one of the potential sponsors will invite the individual to join and a completed Petition for Admission application will be forwarded to the local Commandery. Once accepted for Membership, the applicant becomes an Aspirant and is usually invested as a Dame or Knight of Honour at the next Investiture Service for that Commandery.
We are selective in that membership in the Sovereign Order. It is by invitation to join based on a person’s demonstrated history of community service.
While selective, we are growing as the needs we serve are growing, which is why we seek members and supporters who can truly make a difference.
